Inaugural NZ Robot Olympiad attracts school students

Young robot fans battled it out last week at the University of Auckland’s inaugural NZ Robot Olympiad.  Under the leadership of Dr Ho Seok Ahn, over 100 Auckland school students from Year 2 – Year 13 took part in the world famous robot competition.  The Robot Olympiad is hosted in over 30 countries and has been running competitively since 1999.  There were four categories – Robot Soccer, Battle Cube, Line Tracer and Creative Robot.  The winners received awards and are eligible to participate in the World Robot Olympiad 2017.  To find out more or register interest for 2018 contact Dr Ho Seok Ahn at: hs.ahn@auckland.ac.nz.
