Our very own Robot – The Autonomous Mobile Multipurpose Platform (AMMP) robot from MBIE funded project: Multipurpose Orchard Robotics was featured in an article as part of BBC’s Follow the Food series. This series investigating how agriculture is responding to environmental challenges across six continents.

This project, led by Professor Bruce MacDonald’s team at The University of Auckland was a four-year collaboration with the University of Waikato, Plant & Food Research and Robotics Plus. The pathway from research to real-world impact is often long-winded, however through this successful partnership, we demonstrate how strong investment in science can lead to valuable and fruitful benefits to New Zealand and primary industry stakeholders globally.
