Congratulations to Dr. Minas Liarokapis and his team of students on winning the Manufacturing track in the Grasping and Manipulation Challenge of IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS). The award is 3000 USD for the 1st place and 1000 USD for travel support. This year the theme was “Robots Connecting People” – a key underpinning theme of the work we do in CARES. IROS 2019 is a premier event on the Robotics calendar and this award recognises the fantastic research undertaken by members of our center.
